Q: What is GAMETHEWORLD (GTW)? |
GAMETHEWORLD (GTW) is a Multi-Player e-Sports Centre. It provides a first class social environment for multiplayer PC gaming at both a casual and competitive level. Free For All (FFA), 1v1, 5v5 and centre vs centre competitions, leagues and ladders are all catered for, as well as any other possible combination.
Each GTW consists of 10-40 of the 'Highest Spec' computers all networked together and connected to an ultra fast internet connection to allow you to play against your friends, other GTW centres or anybody else in the world! Each centre also has one or more video projectors/plasma TVs showing match highlights/recordings on enormous screens with blood pumping, bass kicking 7.1 surround sound systems! |

GTW is NOT an internet cafe!
There are only gamers in GTW (no surfers) which means we have an amazing gaming community! Everyone you meet is as into games as you are, if not more so!
Everything in GTW is specifically tailored for the ultimate gaming experience - from the low level lighting, to the chairs that are comfy enough to 'die in', to the most powerful graphics, to the fastest response rate LCD monitors, to the ample supply of caffeinated drinks, to the sometimes VERY late closing times! We're gamers too, so we know what you like! |
Q: How much does it cost? |
Your first hour as a new member at GTW is FREE, and as our membership is also FREE, you can try our setup with no obligation. The standard charge, after that, is £3.50/hr, but there are many offers and discounts. Many of our daily/weekly and seasonal competitions offer masses of free time as prizes (amongst other things) - so if you're any good, you may not have to pay much at all! |
Q: What speed is your internet connection? |
ITS FAST! Lag free play - even if all computers are online at the same time. This allows us to be able to play 30 versus 30 competitions (e.g. in Battlefield 2) seamlessly. |
Q: What kind of games do you have? |
The majority of our games are 'First Person Shooter' games (e.g. Halo , Call of Duty 2) and 'Real Time Strategy' games (e.g. Command and Conquer 3, Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War). We provide many other different types of games too, like RPG and MMORPG. We have every popular multiplayer game on the market. |
